Eden's Gardenia: Longing for Innocence Lost
A nostalgic trip down to the memory lane of my childhood; using a longing, almost grief for the lost of a childhood naivety, central emotive filter to weave through the photos to document the fragmented moments that built up the infrastructure of my identity.
Shot at where I was born and raised, Cambridge, I have used a poetic, narrative-led, storytelling visual format with casual nods to abstract photography to showcase a non-linear concept of the time of my present and my past. Incredibly intertwined and hauntingly similar, it echos my philosophical pondering on the linearity of time and how memory serves as a time-travel device to re-create certain moments in one’s subjective reality.
